Required copies
Upgrading requires the same card type. Below level 12, the additional copy is level 1. From level 12, the additional copy must match the upgraded card’s level. The maximum level is 20.

These are not pack counts or currency prices. Existing higher-level cards reduce the additional copies needed.
Milestones and inventory
Additional bonuses double at level 15; a card’s contribution to a combination bonus doubles at level 18. The exact priority for consuming equivalent copies is not established. Review your inventory and preserve wanted cards. After upgrading, check the level and quantities; missing required copies do not constitute a successful upgrade.
